Unified Martial Arts Academy is a family-owned, family-run dojo. Our school offers the highest quality training for kids and adults in Karate, Ju-jitsu, weapon arts, and fitness kickboxing. The focus is not on competitions or trophies, but simply applying the discipline and health benefits of training into one's everyday life.

The founder of the dojo, Sensei Cory Albert, has over 29 years of training and has been running his school for the past 19 years. Sensei Albert has his black belt in Chinese Kempo Karate, which included training in Ju-jitsu (grappling) and Kali (Filipino stick, knife, and empty-hand art).
In 1998, Sensei Albert began his study of Japanese swordsmanship in Shinkage-Ryu, and he instructs students with the wooden sword (bokken) as part of their regular training at the dojo. Sensei Albert has also traveled to Japan several times to study Zen and Zazen (meditation) at the Jotoku-ji Zen temple in Kameoka, Japan.
Our Little Warriors Program is taught by wife and co-owner, Mrs. Trudi Albert.
Mrs. Albert has experience with children in a school setting. She has worked as a recreation leader, as well as, a paraprofessional working with children with special needs.
Taking her experience and energy, she has developed a program that kids love,
and parents love even more.
When looking for martial arts training, take the time to observe classes at several schools and compare. Although it may be convenient to choose the one closest to you, a good school is worth the drive. You'll know a good school if it is a dojo first and a business second.
